Stephen joined the lab in Fall 2009 after spending two years as a NYC Teaching Fellow at local middle and high schools in the Bronx. He holds a B.A. in Biology from the Ohio State University, and a M.A. in Secondary Science Education from CCNY. His dissertation focuses on the adaptive population genomics of urban white-footed mice. For the last two years Stephen has worked as a NSF GK-12 fellow at the NY High School for Environmental Studies, and spearheaded the creation of an urban DNA barcoding lab for student projects.
